About:

Arts in Color was founded in 2013 as a resource to celebrate, inform and inspire people of color in theatre.

Our Equity and Diversity work is guided by Shavanna Calder. Shavanna has her B.A. from Wellesley College and her Masters from NYU. Her background in Sociology, work at NYU Stern and career in theatre allow her a unique advantage (and viewpoint) in approaching equity, diversity and antiracism work in the arts, higher ed and corporate worlds.
